The United States generates approximately 17 million tons of textile and fashion waste per year, which breaks down to roughly 46,500 tons (93 million pounds) of fashion and textile waste every single day. Every. Single. Day.
We can change this - one look at a time.
Why upcycle?
As a mother, a textile artist and a human being who cares about the earth, I wanted to do something to make fashion less wasteful. Every one of these items was targeted for the landfill, and I saved it and gave it a bit of a think, paired it with other textiles, and made it into something new, so it can go on to have other adventures.
